| Sitting on a Horse |

Sitting on a Horse is a confluence of horsemanship and meditation. Because of the sensitive and intuitive nature of horses, they are ideal teachers in the way they mirror our states of mind. Having been riding for over 40 years, and having had the good fortune to have excellent teachers, both human and equine, throughout my life, I have been training horses and teaching riding for over 20 years, participating in many musical freestyle, pas de deux and quadrille performances, as well as dressage tests through Level 4. I enjoy training many types of horses, and have worked with many Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Lipizzans, Arabians, Andalusians & other breeds. It is my aspiration to practice, protect & promote traditional horsemanship as set forth by the lineage of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, through Alois Podhajsky and Karl Mikolka. - Elizabeth Hale-Garland |
